Norman Island

Norman Island has a number of different places to anchor or find a mooring ball.

The Bight at Norman Island is a nice deep bay, generally making for a very stable evening.  If you ask me where to go for a first night, it’s my go to answer.  An easy crossing from Road Town, and still a little distance off, it’s the perfect way to get to know Time Will Tell a bit, then pick up a mooring ball (there is plenty of space to anchor as well), get a swim in, then put the dinghy in and go to Pirate’s Bight restaurant for dinner (or test out the galley aboard - but you are on vacation, right?).  Perfect shakedown trip!

There are other places to anchor for the night, but none quite so well protected as the Bight.  And no other spot has the restaurant or easier access to both the Caves or the Indians (one of my favorite snorkeling spots on earth!).  You’ll see them as you make the approach to Norman Island.

For a first hop to the vacation, you really can’t beat Norman Island!
